New flight to Haiti on Sunday
Another C-17 aircraft bound for Haiti and Port-au-Prince is expected to depart from Örebro Airport on Sunday evening containing a 40 tonne cargo and 4 passengers.
One of the passengers is Swedish and will work for the MSB as an administrator at the base camp. Two are from the Norwegian DSB and will work as technicians in the camp. And the fourth who is from Finland will work as an ICT technician for the OCHA.The cargo consists mainly of Swedish and Norwegian base camp materiel. Following an increase in the need for places the UN requested in increase in the camp size from 200 to now cater for 300 people. On completion of this consignment of materiel the camp will be up to that capacity.Including Sunday's consignment Sweden has now dispatched 110 tons of materiel to Haiti within the framework of IHP cooperation.Source: Government of Sweden
